Canadian Tar Sands Oily-Olympics

Trafalgar Square, London. Saturday 13 Feb 2010

The heritage wardens weren't happy to host this Oilympics

A little fencing between two of the contestants

Curling took on a new dimension for the Oilympics

  The successful Shell team

BP tried out a new style

The Oilympics had a highly sophisiticated communications system playing music& powering the commentary

It was time for the medals, and Canadian Premier Stephen Harper lent his face for the occasion (and yes, I did have to look his name up.)

The penguins were still watching events

And doubtless admiring these handsome Canadian Tar Sands Oil-Ympics medals
