Finsbury to Holborn

 Tecton - led by Berthold Lubetkin designed Finsbury Health centre in 1936 to "encourage an interactive
relationship between health providers and recipients". It suffered some damage in wartime but became a
symbol of the new post-war National Health Service.

Sixteenth century facades much restored in Victorian times. The building behind these was reconstructed in 1937 
      
 

The restored interior of the Princess Louise  is well worth a visit.

Though photographers are attracted at least as much by the reasonably priced beer 

 

 

Penderel's Oak serves surprisingly good cheap pub food
