Maritime museum, Senhouse St 

River Ellen and sculpture 'A Fishy Tale' by Colin Telfer, coated with resin and haematite from the Florence mine
which until 2008 was Europe's last working iron ore mine, in Egremont , roughy 20 miles to the south.

 

Maritime Museum, Senhouse St and Golden Lion Hotel 

 

Built in 1889 as a bank, coverted to the Carlton Cinema in the 1930s, reopened in 2009 as a cafe , gift shop and two workshops, Senhouse St 

Former Empire Cinema, Senhouse St, built 1911 closed as a cinema in 1974
