Barging on Bow Creek

Bow Creek, Poplar, London. Wednesday 12 October 2011
 
 The barge was almost full to its limit by the time I arrived there

 

 

 

 Another load goes in. Some tides give more depth of water than others and the barge needs to be filled

 evenly and only to a depth that won't go aground on the way out.

 
 
 

 

 

 

It was hard to catch ony of the contaminated soil in mid air - most from this load has already fallen
