No to Torture Vigil

Trafalgar Square, London. Tue 26 June 2012

At the start of the vigil there were not enough people to hold up all the placards

 but more people came

includig some with other placards and banners

There was a group concerned with the executions, extra-judicial killings and disappearances of the Baloch
in Pakistan and Iran

And others protesting against the extradition of Babar Ahmad and other UK citizens

who face a life sentence in inhuman US solitary confinement if found guilty there. Some have already been held in
UK prisons for longer than any likely sentence in the UK if they were tried and found guilty here or are wanted for trial
in the USA for acts committed in the UK that may not be a crime here.
