Stratford, London. Sat 21 Jul 2012

Placards showing Newham Mayor Sir Robind Wales as 'The Sheriff of Newham Robin the Poor'

The tour of the Carpenters estate met outside Stratford Station

From there we could see one of the point blocks on Carpenters, with some advertising for the Olympics on it

 'Carpenters Tour Here!'

 The tour begins

and residents and visitors move off towards the footbridge

over the Jubilee line to the Carpenters Estate

The green slime in a channel is the remains of the Channelsea River

The Carpenters Estate from the footbridge

Dennison Point has AlJazzera's Olympic studio on its roof
