Olympic Views

Lund Point, Stratford. Sat 21 Jul 2012

Unfortunately this 170 degree view is slightly out of focus, though it doesn't show at this size. But it shows virtually the complete view, including the balcony

This is about the limit of a rectangular perspective at just over 90 degrees and shows extreme stretching at the edges

But the same angle of view is better in other perspectives - such as Vedutismo (Pannini)

Though for a wider angle I usually prefer the equirectangular used for this 145 degree view.

The railway lines are more or less straight in reality as this 16mm view shows

The Aqautics centre looks rather ugly, but perhaps will be better when made smaller

The two major white elephants on the site

The closer river is the Waterworks river, and the bridge near the stadium goes over the City Mill River

112mm (equivalent). The site looks like a poorly made model.
