Women Protest Against Rape

Downing St, London. Tue 19 Sep 2012

 Protesters prepare opposite Downing St

Some held placards with the word 'SLUT' in front of their faces

and as well as posters, some had slogans on their torsos

'Pensioner Slut' and, right 'I didn't report - He was my boyfriend'

Some of the women spoke about the issues and some decribed their own personal experiences, particularly of police failures to respond appropriately

One woman was protesting about the treatment of her daughter 'Cops + CPS Failed My Daughter' and later spoke about this

'Jail Rapists Not Vicitms' - some women who have reported rape have themselves ended up in jail

The 'Slutwalk London - We've Had Enough' banner
