Save Walthamstow Stadium Fight Continues

Walthamstow Stadium, London. Sat 10 Nov 2012

The Grade II listed stadium was built in 1933 and closed in 2008 despite racing still attracting customers

Campaigners have offered to buy it back for racing, but the offers have been refused

Trainers would like to bring their dogs back to race here

The proposed redevelopment is unlikely to be economically viable and taxpayers would pick up the tab

Iain Duncan Smith MP - the stadium is close to the edge of his Chingford constituency
