UK Uncut Visits Starbucks

Conduit St & Vigo St, London. Sat 8 Dec 2012

Starbucks briefly became a creche as protesters pointed out that Starbucks has paid no tax in the UK since 2009

More protesters and a crowd of press outside as the protest continued

Most of those inside Starbucks were protesters

A police officer tells customers and protesters they are free to leave

but may be arrested if they decide to stay

Protesters consider their options

They argue with the police to be allowed to stay a little longer, but the officer won't negotiate

I went out to photograph the throng outside - protestets, photographers, reporters, police...

A man holding a 'tax paid' coffee wears a t-shrt showing the '12 tax dodgers of Christmas'.
