Million Women Rise

Oxford St to Trafalgar Square, London. Sat 9 Mar 2013

Unison had obviously had some kind of art workshop for the placards. Many women on the protest wore red to represent blood

and the main placards were red, along with the balloons, and Raga was carrying a red object as well as having red in her dress, hair and hat

Raga Woods has been described as ' our Grandmother of activism'

I think it means 'Women Free and Strong Today and Always'

  For Equal Pay

Supporters of the Mourning Mothers of Iran with an Iranian flag

and on its reverse 'Free Nasrin Sotoodeh', a human rights lawyer imprisoned in Iran

'Time to tell the truth about rape'

'Name the Problem - Male Violence Against Women'
