Guantánamo Murder Scene

US Embassy, Grosvenor Square, London. Sat 18 May 2013

I arrived just as the 8 'victims were getting down on the pavement

The intense orange of some of the suits is difficult to photograph. There were 8 because 8 have died in the past

at Guantanamo under suspicious cirmcumstances after they have been on hunger strikes

The men still held in Guantanamo are 'Starving For Justice'. Most have been cleared for release as there is no

credible evidence against them but they are still being held and subject to daily beatings and torture

The outlines of the eight bodies are marked with chalk

and incident tape with the message 'Crime Scene - Do Not Enter - is held around them

One figure is removed and replaced by a large Question Mark. Who will be the next detainee to die? Over a hundred of the 166 are now on hunger strike

Protesters hold up quotations from Thomas Jefferson and others about the US Constitution
