DPAC at BBC - Tell The Truth

Broadcasting House, London. Mon 2 Sep 2013

Protesters make clear to the security that pushing them would be an assault

and after some argument they backed off

 and the speeches continued

Mark Thomas who had been visiting the BBC came out and talked to some of the protesters he had met and

protested with recently in Edinburgh as a part of his appearance on the festival fringe.

Mark congratulated the protesters and expressed his support for their attempt to get the BBC to report in an unbiased manner

Other protestes spoke about the effects of the cuts and changes in benefits on them

The protesters went to block the remaining door

refusing to move when asked. BBC security called the police

Eventually the police arrived, and talked with BBC security and then with the protesters, who said they would
leave very shortly after their 1 hour protest was up. Police stood back and watched, and as promised the
protesters started to pack up after an hour and leave.
