Islamists Protest Angolas Ban on Muslims

Angolan Embassy, Dorset St, London. Fri 29 Nov 2013

I'd gone to the mosque but there was no sign of a march there

The protesters seem to have started closer to the embassyand had arrived before me

and were making their protest noisly from the side of the Dorset Street opposite the embassy

 'Angola Regime Enemy of Islam'

'Muslims Rise Up! Establish the Sharia' and 'Islam will Dominate the World' seemed slogans not related to

the human rights abuses in Angola, but suggested a similar lack of tolerance to that of the Angolan regime.

As too did some of the speeches and chanted slogans at the protest

It seemed not to be a protest about freedom to worship, but one about 'eradicating secularism' and imposing a single religion

While the Angolans seem to believe that freedom of religion means freedom to be Catholic or Baptist or other Christian

the protesters seem to want to impose Islam. 'Islam will Dominate the World''

And their aim seems not just to make their particular version of Islam the sole religion

but to - as the poster says 'Ban democracy' and 'Implement Islam!'
