Reinstate Colombian Mayor Petro

Colombian Embassy, London. Tue 17 Dec 2013

The protest against the ban from public office of Bogota's Mayor Petro starts in the rain

People make a lot of noice

The main banner calling for Petro not to go for the defence of Democracy in Colombia. Petro isn't going.

A policeman comes and asks the protesters if they would be quieter as they are disturbing the neighbours

The protesters explain why they are there protesting

and say they could be a lot quieter if they were actually allowed to protest outside the embassy rather than on the other side of the road

'I'm with Petro'

But eventually they do turn down the volume considerably and the protest continues
This has been a noisy place to live in recent years, particularly since Julian Assange was granted refuge in the

Ecuadorian Embassy which shares the building.
