Limehouse Pans

Limehouse, London. Tue 24 Jun 2014

A gate in the flats leads to this jetty

with views along the river in both directions

Narrow Street survived bombing with one side intact here

Back by the Thames from Narrow St

The gate is open during daylight hours for walkers

  Limekiln Dock

with a bridge for the Thames Path over it

Theoretically the bridge can rotate to open, though it seldom does

The tide was low and Limekiln dock is very much silted up

The Thames Path stretched away to the south - more pictures in Millwall - Isle of Dogs pans
