Wool Against Weapons

Burghfield to Aldermarston, Berkshire. Sat 9 Aug 2014

One of the fancier sections of scarf at the Burghfield end

And some with slogans: 'Knitwear Not Warfare'

 'Drop Stitches Not Bombs'

'Yes to Woolies No to Bullies' and 'Cast Off Not Blast Offs'

A banner was going up on a temporary fence around the Burghfield site

 'Imagine all the people...'

More people arrive at the site. There was a shuttle bus service from Mortimer station as well as many coaches

Down the road people were sewing the lengths of scarf together

More sewing, and rolling out the lengths along the side of the road

Some people had also brought banners

Joining lengths

rolling more out

At one of the mileposts a man was still knitting - and there was a French banner
