Hull at Night

Hull. Thur 2 Oct 2014

 

 
 Nelson St, De la Pole looking down Queen St. He was mayor and a wealthy wool merchant and moneylender to King Edward III

 Voyage statue looks out to sea and celebrates over a thousand years of trading between Hull and Iceland and is a memorial to seafarers

 The Deep built on Sammy's Point where the River Hull flows into the River Humber

 Hull's Tidal barrier built in 1980

 Humber St used to be full of fruit and veg merchants, now is more varied

 

 

 

 

 

  The path by the dry dock from Nelson St to the Millenium Bridge was closed
 
But we walked onto the bridge and some of the pictures above are from there  

Scale Lane Bridge for pedestrians and cyclists opened three years late in 2013 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Currently closed, the White Hart has been described as having "historic pub interior of national importance' by CAMRA
