Aylesbury rubble to Southwark Council

Southwark Council Offices, London. Tue 10 Feb 2015

A council worker shuts the iron gates in the doorway

the protest continues with people speaking about the council's housing policy

police guard the adjoining door and a council worker locks one half of it

People tell Southwark Council what they think of it, and call for 'Social Housing, not Social Cleansing'

A protester shows me the poster he has been holding up against the Council's windoe 'Shame on you Southwark
Council - Trashing perfectly habitable flats while thousands of families wait for council housing'

'Southwark Council - Smashing up Homes, Trashing Communities'

One protester had managed to empty some rubble inside the foyer

and another bag inside the steel gates in a lobby area

The protest continued outside the offices

'F**k Your Regeneration - We want to stay in our homes - We Demand Refurbishment'

'Lend Lease = Land Theives'

Piers Corbyn from the Alvey Estate speaks against demolition of social housing

and handover to private developers to build mainly for overseas investors.

A copy of the model resolution for groups to Labour calling for an end to estate disposal under regeneration
