Festival of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

St Peter's Italian Chuch, Clerkenwell, London. Sun 19 Jul 2015

  
 
 

 The clergy with an important visitor for the procession

 

 Doves are release but don't perform well for my camera

 There are a number of floats with tableaux

 The four Evangelists - Mathew, Mark Luke and John

 A young woman dressed as the Queen of All Saints

 Several of the floats have figures standing on top of the cabs

 People carry statues

 and icons

 Jesus has to carry his cross, followed by Roman soldiers

  and another Jesus follows leading the first communicants
 
Three more doves as the float carrying the statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on a float joins the procession 

and there is an explosion and the air fills with tinsel 

The congregation, led by singing nuns joins on to the end of the procession 

 

 

The clergy greet people as they go around the area
