DSEi: Put Down the Sword at West Gate

Excel London, Royal Victoria Dock. Tue 8 Sep 2015

I got on the DLR at Prince Regent - at the eastern end of the Excel Centre, and travelled two stops to Royal Victoria

where a small group of protesters were stopping deliveries to the Victoria dock estate which includes the Excel Centre

A poster says 'No Arms Deliveries Today Please'

and they have the 'put down the sword banner'

A lorry driver argues with them. He says he is nothing to do with the arms fair, and cannot afford to be held up

Police try to persuade the protesters to move out of the road

a protester films the police as they talk with the protesters

The lorry driver comes to talk to the protesters. He is delivering food to a restuarant.

A lorry carrying a military exhibit arrives and drives away

The protesters eventually let the lorry delivering food through

a lorry with a military vehicle on it arrives

and drives away around the roundabout

Security men arrive and tell the protesters they are on private land and tells them to leave
