The Climate March begins

Who got Lancashire to turn down fracking, but the government are to overrule the planning decision  

to fill the pockets of their fracking mates 

 

The banner the organisers tried to replace the Global Frontline one with 

with assorted characters and no real message 

but giraffes and a white rabbit 

as well as my favourite mermaid from Rising Tide pointing out the danger of sea level rise due to global warming 

the rabbit 

and some fish 

Justice for Ecuador were protesting against the dirty hand of Chevron in the Global Frontline bloc at the head of the amrch

It had been agreed in advance that the Global Frontlines block representing those most at risk and already affected by
global warming would lead the march through London. But on the day, the event organisers tried to stop this,
deciding that they were too poliltical. They had to fight security guards to keep their posters and banners
and keep their place at the front. The organisers, representing the large and well-heeled charities
remarkably even called the police to try and stop them,but the police had no power to stop them
