David Clapson - Sanctioned to Death

 Gill Thompson the sister of David Clapson holds a black-bordered banner 'One death is one too many'

 and a poster with a photograph and details of her brother 'David Clapson: Sanctioned to death'
      
Gill Thompson and 'David Clapson: Sanctioned to death'. The family only learnt about his condition after he had died penniless, cold, starving and unable to afford the electricity to keep his insulin chilled.

 The other side of the banner lists the names of some those who have died 'due to sanctions and benefit cuts. R.I.P'

 'Too many people have died and suffered.Act now and implement these Select Committe recommendations

  This petition to Cameron and IDS attractied 31,647 supporters. Another earlier petition about David Clapson brought the total to around 200,000

and shows him the list of those who have died because of sanctions 

 

Other photographers then got them to pose in front of the sign and I took some pictures

and they then asked to two women to pose with the large images of David Clapson his sister had brought
