Vauxhall, London. Thu 14 Apr 2016

SIS Building or MI6 Building at Vauxhall Cross

Henry Moore's Locking Piece (1963-4) in Riverside Walk Gardens

This was the site where prisoners were put on ships for transportation to Australia

New buildings between the River Thames and the railway line

Tintagel House, anoother carbuncle on Duchy of Cornwall land, built 1961 and occupied for many years by the Met police

Upstream from Vauxhall Bridge is St George Wharf which has twice won the Architects' Journal's 'Worst building in the world' award.

Me reflected in black marble at the base of the St George Wharf Tower, at 181 metres (594 ft) and 49 storeys the tallest residential building in the United Kingdom.

  Lookinf across Nine Elms Lane

and back downstream to Vauxhall Bridge and that St George Wharf Tower

Upriver to the building work around Battersea Power station and Chelsea Bridge
