St George in Southwark Festival

St George's Cathedral to St George the Martyr,
Southwark. Sat 23 Apr 2016

  
   
 

 

The procession goes past the shops on Great Suffolk St

 

 and flats with the City crest and a St George's flag

 

 

 

 
 
Trinity Church Square 

 

 

 

Tabard Gardens 

and finally at St George the Martyr, where the dragon went up into the small elevated yard 

and then back down the steps into the crypt 

 

 

The play began - St George with his squad of Roman soldiers. But it was running late and I'd agreed to meet
with some other photographers who had got lost on their way to the procession.
