Congo Massacre protest

Downing St, London. Sat 4 Jun 2016

Congo has huge mineral wealth, particularly coltan, essential for smart phones, laptops etc

The UK supports Uganda and Rwanda, both of which are behind massacres in Congo

Huge multi-nationals such as Apple depend on coltan from the Congo - which is why the US backed the overthrow of Mobutu and why we

and other Western countries keep Congo without a proper government that might interfere with the plundering of its resources.

As one poster said 'Africa is Not Poor - Africa is being looted'

Africa is the richest of continents - exploited for 'Blood Diamonds to Blood Coltan' .

Millions are killed so that multinational corporations such as Apple and Google can continue to make huge
profits thanks to the exploitation of Africa's rich resources. Led by the US and the West, China is now also
taking an important role.
