Solidarity for Victims of Torture

Trafalgar Square, Sun 26 Jun 2016

The vigil took place in front of the National Gallery

With protesters from the London Guantanamo campaign

'Torture victims need Rehabilitation' was one of the messages

and 'Support Life after Torture' another

The protesters demand that Guantanamo - where every prisoner was tortured, and those still held still suffer

must be closed. Some of the posters were from the 'Save Shaker Aamer Campaign' with people from that

still protesting because other prisoners are still held there even though Shaker Aamer has been released

One of the shirts on the 'washing line' was a 'Save Shaker Aamer' shirt, thugh the fake blook didn't show up

very well on the bright orange.

With the washing line came the message 'Don't Hang Torture Victims Out To Dry'

There was considerable interest shown in the protest and people took flyers and asked questions about the protest

and came to show their support
