Brixton stands with Black victims

London, UK. 9th July 2016.

The Revolutionary Communist Group provided the open mike - and hold a street stall a few yards away every Saturday

Everyone was free to come and speak - and many form the community did

Yes, ALL lives matter but it's important to say that '#Black Lives Matter'...

Hands Up, Don't Shoot....

A woman speaks then preforms her poem about a Black woman who died during a police raid, killed by the fall from a balcony

I'd been told the march would start after about half an hour, but an hour later a queue of people
were still waiting to speak and I had to leave.

Later people marched through the high street up to Brixton Police station and protested there. I'm
told the protesters brought traffic in Brixton to a standstill for several hours before the protest ended.
