Heathrow flashmob against airport expansion

Heathrow, London. Sat1 Oct 2016

'Frequent flyers' clamber over the bodies to get to their

'High Polluters Club Frequent Flyer VIP Check-in@

A speech bubble "When People have to fight to breathe clean air, the government is not fit for purpose

'Frequent fliers' hold champagne glasses and speech bubbles as they idly chatter

One bubble reads 'I got £100K bonus this year'. The glasses have to be empty because of airport restrictions

Another bubble "I'm one of the 15% who make 70% of flights"

The readings about the disastrous effects that expanding aviation would have continue

Staff and frequent flyers were at the 'High Polluters Club Frequent Flyer VIP Check-in

'I'm flying to my 2nd home in France'

Next came some special songs written for the protest

and some dances - to an aviation version of 'Ring a-Ring of Roses' which of course ends

 with everyone falling down
