Stand Up to Lambeth March

Brixton, London. Sat 8 Oct 2016

Protesters against the 'Garden Bridge' wait for the march to start

And people line up in Windrush Square

The march moves off across the main roads

At Lambeth Town Hall the steps are soon coated with glitter

The Lambeth coat of arms with its motto "Spectemur Agendo" means 'Let us be judged by our acts'

and the people of Lambeth are judging them and making their views heard

 'Hands Off Carnegie Library

'Housing is a Right' banner from the Revolutionary Communist Group

The Lambeth Four sculpture on the march

Shop Keepers from Brixton Arches who are fighting Network Rail and the council

Central Hill Estate residents - Lambeth wants to demolish their homes - good homes in a well-designed and trouble-free estate

'Friends of the Minet Library say "NO" to Library Cuts'

After the march a Lambeth council worker sweeps away the flyers and the purple glitter
