Britain First & EDL exploit London attack

Westminster, London. Sat 1 Apr 2017

An EDL supporter looks for the EDL who were supposed to be meeting in Trafalgar Square. I wondered if to tell him they were in the pub

Britain First were however at their meeting place outside Charing Cross Station

An their leader Paul Golding arrived with a van full of flags and started to hand them out

His deputy, Jayda Fransen, was busy talking to the media

A couple pose for a picture. THe flag at the left is of the Kinghts Templars, adopted by extreme right groups here and on the continent

And a man wears a Knights Templar UK t-shirt and holds their flag

Meanwhile police are being pretty heavy-handed with the anti-fascists in Whitehall

And lead one man away

A crowd of police push the protesters back against the shop walls - some are injured. They shout at them to go
forwards - but they can't as police are stopping them.

They stop to look at the EDL outside the pub on the other side of the road

At the pub, the EDL were spilling out - and shouting at the anti-fascists who police were keeping on the other side of the road

and making gestures. The tatoo reads 'Only God Can Judge Me'

Police force them back into the pub

Back at Charing Cross, Britain First are ready to march, but the police are holding them back while they deal with the other protesters

@Golding for Mayor' is a rather outdated poster. He ran and got a pathetic vote.

Paul Golding gets out the banner for the front of the march 'Time to Fight... Islamic Terror'

 And the march finally starts

 shepherded by police

At Goldings left is a man iwth the Knights Templar banner - with a gold edge
