Rochdale

Rochdale, Lancs. Sat 6 May 2017

Chammpness Hall, Rochdale - a large centre built for the Methodist Church and opened in 1925

It was named after Thomas Champness (1832-1905), a pioneer in lay training and community projects

The main hall could seat a thousand people and was noted for its huge organ.

The huge main hall was locked and this picture was taken through a dirty window in the door
