Shut down Yarl's Wood Immigration Prison

Yarl's Wood, Bedford. Sat 13 May 2017

Making some noise at the prison fence

 'Set her free'

 'Shut it Down'

People are lifted up to hold posters above the solid part of the prison fence

 People inside wave

and a few can be seen clearly, but most of the windows reflect too much

People hold up messages, some with phone numbers that those outside can ring

 Coloured flares

Those further up the hill can be seen from the upper floor windows inside the immigration prison

'The windows only open far enough to put an arm out - holding notices 'Set Us Free' , 'Justice for Us'

 People wave back

and hold up balloons and placards

And a powerful sound system lets people inside hear those outside

Many of those who speak are former inmates of this or other immigration prisons
