DPAC Trash The Tories in Maidenhead

Maidenhead, Berks. Sat 3 Jun 2017

DPAC protesters cross the road towards Maidenhead Station and it looks like they are about to leave

When Paula Peters turns around and pushes her walking frame onto the

busy crossing close to the station, and others follow her to block the road

Most of the police have left, but those left try to get the protesters to leave the road - and call for reinforcements

 Paula keeps moving around

'One Death is one too many' The other side of the banner lists around a hundred - but there have been many, many more

More police arrive and start to talk with the protesters

and the police are now blocking the traffic

An officer starts following close behind Paula Peters

'General William Taggart of the NCA' argues with police, telling them this is an emergency and the military have the right to block roads

The argument continues. The protesters say they will leave the road in a few minutes

An officer tells Paula Peters she will be arrested unless she leaves the road straight away

She continues to argue for a while

but then goes on to the pavement

and I leave as police are threateing the rest of the protesters and they are slowly moving to the pavement
