A large loft was probably used by labourers on the estate. Steep stairs

The house is a short walk from the Thames, where we had our picnic
Great Coxwell Barn near Faringdon, a National Trust property
built about 1292 for the Cistercian Beaulieu Abbey in Hampshire,
The Court House
The interior - perhpas not quite as impressive as Harmondworth, but
still a great example of medieval craft. Grade 1 listed
