King's College employ your cleaners

King's College, London. Fri 1 Dec 2017

A woman holds up a leaflet that shows cleaners being given cleaning liquids in milk bottles. They complain about

 poor safety equipment too

A samba band supports the protest

and people blow whistles and vuvuzelas

 Another cleaner speaks

And a speaker from the LSE's Justice for Cleaners campaign comes to support, telling how they have had

a successful campaign there by uniting cleaners, students and staff against the management to bring

 cleaners in house.

The cleaners at King's are in Unison, and there was also support at the protest from SOAS Unision who have

been campaigning there for more than ten years, getting better pay and conditions

There are only 130 students cleaning up after 30,000 students - and of course staff as well

The campaign will win because universities must stand up for justice - and it makes sense.
