Cressingham Gardens residents say Ballot Us!

Brixton, London. Sat 2 Dec 2017

The petition signatures are placed on the steps of Lambeth Town Hall

and people cheer and call for a ballot

 and there is some chanting

and the various banners are put on the steps

A Cressingham resident holds a child as she speaks

Another of the leaders of the protest speaks

Piers Corbyn, a housing campaigner from neighbouring Southwark has come to give support

and so has Tanya Murat of Southwark Homes for All

Piers Corbyn ("People used to call Jeremy my brother..."

 'Hands Off Our Homes'

 Greens say: Ballot Them'

 'Save Our Libraries'

'This Area is Under Community Protection - Stop Evictions'

Roger Lewis of DPAC gives his support' - council cuts affect the disabled disproportunately

Quite a large crowd had come for the protest

A speaker from the RCG (Revolutionary Communist Group) who have been very active in supporting social housing campaigns

as have Class War, a few of whom have come and hold posters 'Lambeth Council: are you listenint? We Do NOT Want Demoltion'

A Cressingham resident tells us to use our vote. She says she has always voted Labour but they have now betrayed her - so vote #anythingbutLabour

One of the Ritzy strikers - they are badly paid and none can now afford to live in Lambeth - we need more social housing, not less

A Green Party member lends his support - and says only the Greens are calling for more social housing

Potent Whisper performs his take on 'Regeneration', 'Estate of War', the video made on Cressingham

And as I leave a woman was singing about homes
