Canada Goose protests continue
Regent St, London. Sat 27 Jan 2018
'Canada Goose Murders Dogs' - their clothing uses fur from wild dogs
caught in traps, many dying a slow death
caught in the traps and wounded by them they may slowly bleed to death
of be attacked and eaten by predators
before the trappers return. Some gnaw through their own legs to escape
and die slowly elsewhere.
As well as fur, goose feathers are used as insulation. Geese are grown
in cramped cages, and are sometimes
still alive when plunged briefly into boiling water and their feathers
are then pulled out. One of the protesters has
a tablet on his chest with a video showing the cruelty that goes into
Canada Goose clothing. There are better
non-animal alternatives to feathers and down, and to fur.
