Ditch the Deal say NHS Staff

As I rushed towards the Dept of Health I saw protesters in the distance
walking into the foyer
and followed them in
They were being told they could not protest inside the building -
but they were
'We say reject the pay offer - NHS staff deserve more'. Most will
get increases less than inflation over the 3 years
and according to the leaks their holidays are to be reduced.
A few will get a decent increase under the pay plan, but for most
it a little less than forecast inflation
and those already at the top of a wage band wil get least.
For those who have still to reach the top of their pay band, there
will be new assesments they must pass to progress
The protesters came from a wide range of hospitals across London
The proposed pay settlement affects workers of all kinds at all levels,
except doctors, dentists and very senior managers.
They begin to leave, but are called back to wait for Health Minister
Jeremy Hunt's picture to come up on the screen again
They want his face in their photographs of the protest
and when another face replaces his they start to walk out again
and pose for photos on the pavement outside.
