Shut Down Yarl's Wood 14

Yarl's Wood immigration prison, Bedford. Sat 21 Jul 2018

. Mabel, who was nicknamed 'Queen of Yarl's Wood, was held there just a couple of days less than 3 years

 Former detainees pose for photographs

Antonia of Movement for Justice tells people what is happening. We are waiting for a few more on their way

 before marching to Yarl's Wood

'Detention is Torture - Shut them All Down'

People lead some chanting while we wait for the final coach to arrive

Finally all those known to be coming have arrived and

it is time to march to Yarl's Wood. A few who have difficulties walking the mile or so have gone on ahead

and some have driven to a track nearer to Yarl's Wood

There are perhaps a hundred protesters marching along the road,

and they are carrying quite a few MfJ posters

They are soon well spread out, with some still on the road

They walk along a few hundred yards of road after the first long field

and across a ditch into another field
