Riding the Bridge

Sat 28 Jul 2018

 Linda in the Ferens Gallery

 Morris in Queen Victoria Square

 Whitefriargate

 Princes Quay shopping centre

Closing the land gate to Scale Lane Bridge

then the gate on the bridge is folded out

 and locked

and the bridge is ready to swing

 Upriver from the bridge

The bridge leaves the Garrison Side approach ramp

 and moves across the river

Looking down the middle of the river towards the flood barrier and the Humber

The side of the bridge is now parallel with the River Hull

The end of the bridge rests briefly against a barrier in the mud at the Old Town bank

 and then slowly moves back

 across the river

 Still some way to go

and stops facing the approach. The bridge gate is unlocked

Then the landside gate, and people can now walk on and off the bridge
