Private hire drivers protest congestion charge

London Bridge & City Hall, London. Thu 4 Apr 2019

Cones blocked the north end of London Bridge with only those cars that were part of the protest being allowed through

and the south end was also blocked to stop traffic not coming for the protest

Drivers parked their cars on the bridge and got out to meet up in the middle

 Some had brought drums

The Mini Cab Drivers Association banner

UPHD banner 'Stop Sadiq@s #Taxonthe poor'

Several of the drivers' leaders spoke

including UPHD co-founder James Farrar (right)

THe drivers march to City Hall

 along Tooley St

 and march around CIty Hall

 to protest noisily outside

A man comes out from City Hall and tells them he understands their problems and will do his best to find a solution.

The protesters form a large circle

and after a few more minutes protesting

begin to march back to London Bridge
