Living wage at Dept of Business

BEIS, Westminster, London. Wed 10 Apr 2019

Catering staff at BEIS are on the third day of a 3-day strike. They are PCS members and others from the PCS

have come to show their support, including some from BARAC UK.

Zita Holbourne (centre) is co-foundef of BARAC and PCS national vice president

'Pay Us with DIgnity Treat Us WIth Respect'. The workers want to be paid a living wage (the London Living Wage)

and to have similar terms and conditions as those enjoyed by other workers inside the BEIS, as well as to be

treated with dignity and respect by their managers. They are victims of outsourcing, employed by Aramark on

T&C's and wages that no reputable employer could countenance. Candy Udwin, a PCS rep at the National Gallery

was among the PCS members who had come to support them

Others from the BEIS London and South PCS branch to which they belong were also there to support them
