Extinction Rebellion Dinner of HOPE

Natural History Museum, London. 20th June 2019

The picnic was in the garden in front of the museum

and people were busy getting it ready when I arrived

at its centre was a table looking like the pink yacht XR took to Oxford Circus which was getting loaded with food

There were rather boat-like pink paper hats with the message 'Tell the Truth'

and several people had come with large angel wings

10-year old Elsie Luna spoke briefly, opening the party

She contacted the museum telling them why they should not have a dinner for the Petroleum Group of the
Geological Society, celebrating their exploration of fossil fuels.
But they didn't listen, so XR organised this party

Senegalese protesters against BP arrive to join the party. BP have been in murky financial dealings with
London-based businessman, Frank Timis and Aliou Sall, brother of the Senegalese president, Macky Sall.
