Extinction Rebellion Day 3

London. Wed 9 Oct 2019

People are still camping in Broad Sanctuary

and getting a giant octopus ready in Trafalgar Square

Charlie X (Neil Goodwind) with Pengi, his jackass African penguin which faces extinction due to climate change

Protesters surround the hearse with the XR coffin which police have tried to remove

 People sit down in Whitehall

And police are trying to clear the protesters from Horse Guards Rd

warning those sitting down in the road they are going to be arrested

 'For My Kids'

Giant birds on Horse Guards Road

 are joined by wild animals

and pose with the Raised Voices choir

Police stand in line beside protesters in Birdcage Walk

Giant kangaroos bounced in to join the protesters

some were locked on in the road

and others had glued themselves together

A march came from Trafalgar Square with giant birds

and the pink octopus to support the protesters police were arresting

A band had marched down into Whitehall and stopped in front of a line of police, deciding what they should do next

Police had earlier trashed the tents in Whitehall ane were standing guard around them

 Charlie X 'I spy a Climate Crisis'

People dance to the samba band

Police had decided to remove and trash people's tents and other belongings

but the protest continued - and a woman holds a loaf and a placard 'Crusty' in response to PM Boris Johnson's ignorant remarks

The mime group, now with both red and green robes, makes its way down Northumberland Ave

and up the footbridge leading to the South Bank

I leave them to head to a book launch in Brick Lane
