	Zane's parents, family members and 38 degrees campaigners met at Spelthorne Leisure centre, where a couple of TV crews had come for the event ' Spelthorne Council: Tell Us The Truth'. Spelthorne, the bit of Middlesex that refused to join London, includes Staines, Stanwell, Sunbury and Shepperton The Thames flooded in February, including the area close to Chertsey Bridge where Zane and his family were living Zane's house was next to an old landfill site and the campaign thinks that the flood water produced highly poisonous hydrogen cyanide there from waste dumped years ago. There seems to have been an official cover-up to put Zane's death down to carbon monoxide fumes from a hired pump but Zane's family say this was not used in the house. Both his mother and father needed hospital treatment after the incident, which has left his father Kye Gbangbola permanently in a wheelchair.
	Carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide both act in similar ways, by binding with haemoglobin in the blood and preventing the vital transfer of oxygen The campaign demands full testing of the site and an inquiry into the cause of the death of Zane Gbangbola. Spelthorne Chief Executive Roberto Tamborini and a colleague came to meet the family and other protesters outside the Spelthorne Council offices in Staines, and to answer questions and take the petition. Although Tamborini expressed his sympathy, there was no firm committment to a full inquiry
