Aylesbury Estate Occupation

Aylesbury Estate, Southwark, London. Thur 5 Feb 2015

People split into pairs to deliver the notices in different blocks on the estate

I go with two women who are going to the top floor of Wendover, a long block with around 470 flats

most of them have already had the notice of the meeting, but there is still the top floor to do

We go up in the lift

 and the delivery starts

I photograph the view through a rather dirty window - all of the ones one the corridor are dirty

Every door gets a notice of the public meeting with information about the occupation

Another view through a dirty window

There are a few residents coming in and most stop to talk and express support

Danger! Do not use - unsafe

There is a broken window

but there is no safety risk in taking pictures through it

with a clear view of the Shard and the City blocks
