Silverdale Holiday

Silverdale, Arnside etc, Lancs & Cumbria. Wed 26 Aug 2015 -Thu 27 Aug 2015

Wednesday

Thursday

 Brown's Houses

We walked up the road to Jenny Brown's Point again

We'd hoped to walk around the shore, but for some reason the others wouldn't and we went along the road

perhaps so we could pop in at the tea shop that was still open although the Wolf House gallery was closed

Then we did go down to The Shore and walk along to The Cove

on the footpath there is a bowl of water for dogs, but we didn't have one with us

Thursday

Thursday we went for a longer walk, going first to Arnside Tower

Then up the side at the west of Arnside Knott

and over to the coast at Arnside

We were hoping we might see the bore as the tide came in

but the tide was at its least impressive

we went on the pier then to have coffee in a cafe overlooking the water but there wasn't a lot to see

Leaving Anside we took a path over the railway to Hazelslack Tower

Then went along a long bridleway towards Leighton House, but missed the footpath - I think it had a sign saying it was private

but the view down the road was fine
