UVW Topshop Protest - Oxford St

Topshop & John Lewis, Oxford St, London. Sat 16 Apr 2016

Protesters hold up posters as they face police guarding the side door of Topshop

'Topshop - We want London Living Wage - In-Work Poverty'

Police again block the main door of Topshop on Oxford St

Class War bring up a banner

and stop a foot or two short of the police line

Other protesters stand blocking half of Oxford St

Jane Nicholl holds up some Crime Scene tap

and passes it over the top of the banner

so it is in front of the line of police

The protesters decide to move, and stand briefly in the middle of Oxford Circus

before moving on to John Lewis

As a few protesters approach the doorway, police reacted violently

and one woman was thrown bodily to the ground several yards away. Police and protesters helped her up
